AI Motion has expertise in science communication, winning the 2020 Eureka Prize for Promoting Public Understanding of Science and the inaugural ABC “Top 5 Under 40” competition. AI Motion has developed new content for ABC Radio, including the Dear Science podcast. She has been involved in live radio and television, created and performed in original works and written articles about science for various outlets. She is a dynamic speaker, and has participated in many public events, including a TedX talk. Her research focuses on open source drug discovery, the communication of science to the broader community, and on citizen science. She is currently a Westpac Research Fellow and the Director of the Breaking Good project, where she works with undergraduates and high school students to synthesise new medicines for diseases with low market incentives and price-hiked essential medicines, for which she was awarded a $250K Google Impact grant. AI Motion will sit on the O&E Committee, advise the O&E Officer, and co-supervise a CIPPS-funded PhD student.
