The University of Queensland
Dr Mark Jackson is a research fellow at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience where he specialises in developing and applying molecular tools for plant biotechnology applications. Specifically, he is interested in characterising the biosynthetic pathways for cyclic peptide production in plants in order to produce pharmaceutical peptides in a cost effective and environmentally friendly manner. Underpinning this work was the establishment of the Clive & Vera Ramaciotti Facility for Producing Pharmaceuticals in Plants.
