Dr Utpal Bose
Research Fellow
Edith Cowan University
Utpal’s research as a bioanalytical chemist currently centres on identifying proteins and peptides in cereal grains, insects and processed food products to develop healthy and nutritious food and feed ingredients. He takes a systems biology approach integrating transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics techniques to study complex biochemical pathways. In addition, he has a keen interest in deploying the advantages of mass spectrometry and immunochemical methods to maintain and develop new collaborations with experts from the chemistry, biology and computation sectors to address emerging biochemical questions in
the food and agriculture sectors.
