Oliver’s research is focused on developing PROteolysis TArgeting Chimeras (PROTACs) to degrade kinases relevant to inflammatory diseases. Through a collaborative medicinal chemistry project with Pharmaxis Ltd. Oliver has generated PROTACs capable of blocking the necroptotic pathway through degradation of MLKL and he is currently optimizing these compounds as well as developing degraders for other therapeutic targets. In his free time Oliver plays the mandola in the Sydney Mandolin Orchestra and other string groups around Sydney.
