In a recent article on theconversation.com, two scientists working under CIPPS director Professor David Craik explain how circular peptides called cyclotides were initially discovered, why their peculiar circularity makes them special (circular peptides are rare compared to linear ones) and how it gives them one of a kind properties that might one day lead to better drugs that could be taken by eating fruit.
