Dr Linda Blomster

Research Fellow

The University of Queensland

Linda’s area of expertise is within the field of drug discovery. She has over 8 years’ experience in small molecule and peptide drug discovery with a background in the biopharmaceutical industry. She brings a wealth of experience within the areas of target validation, assay development, high throughput screening and lead generation. She has participated in a number of drug discovery projects focused on CNS diseases, pain and inflammation. She specialises in a technique called patch-clamp electrophysiology which is used to develop an understanding of the pharmacological profile of drugs on certain targets, including the structure-activity relationship and mechanism of action.
