Dr Mahan Azad
Post Doctoral Research Fellow
The University of Queensland
Mahan is a molecular biologist. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying metastasis and inflammation, with a particular emphasis on pancreatic pathobiology. He investigates how metastasis suppressors and oncogenic drivers reprogram cellular signalling networks to regulate plasticity, invasion, and interactions with the microenvironment. His work integrates peptide-based approaches, advanced microscopy, and AI-assisted drug discovery to identify and target key biological vulnerabilities. His expertise includes signal transduction analysis, cellular imaging, and the development of translational strategies to modulate disease-relevant pathways.
