Shaodong completed his PhD in 2022 in lab of Prof. Glenn King at UQ. During his PhD, he investigated the insecticidal activity of arachnid venom peptides. A/Prof. Volker Herzig was his PhD co-supervisor and Shaodong is now a postdoc in his lab at The University of Sunshine Coast. Currently he is focusing on the insecticidal venom peptide discovery and electrophysiology manual patch clamp on insect ion channels.
