Yan is a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Tokyo in the lab of Prof. Hiroaki Suga. She earned her PhD from the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland under the supervision of Prof. David Craik and Dr. Thomas Durek. She is passionate about advancing peptide and protein therapeutics, specializing in rational drug design, biosynthetic production platforms, and the development of therapeutic peptides for clinical translation. Outside of the lab, Yan enjoys painting, tennis, and travelling.
