The main objective of Alla’s work is the design, synthesis and application of novel organelle-targeted fluorescent sensors for bioimaging. Such probes can enable the study of intracellular pH, oxygen and heavy metal levels, as well as biological redox state implicated in cancer. Apart from chemistry, she is interested in modern art and perfumery.
