Caitlin Shepperson

Before moving to Australia, Caitlin completed her undergraduate in chemistry at Pembroke College, Oxford, achieving the top organic chemistry prize for her cohort. She previously worked with Prof Ben Davis and Prof Margaret Brimble before joining the Payne group. Her current research is focussed on the synthesis of Lytacs for the treatment of liver diseases. Outside of chemistry, Caitlin is a competitive athlete in track and field, currently holding the University of Sydney record in hammer throw. For fun, Caitlin enjoys going to the Supa Barn in Annandale, patting strangers’ dogs on the street, snorkelling with her boyfriend, and drinking Beroccas.
