Dr Aurélie Benfield
Research Fellow
Queensland University of Technology
As part of the Henriques research team, Aurélie has driven research projects focused on biologically-active peptides and their mode-of-action. She is currently focusing on characterising the lipid composition of cancer cell membranes with a particular focus on melanoma cells with acquired drug resistance. Over the years, Aurélie has built expertise in a wide range of laboratory skills within the fields of cell and molecular biology, biotechnology, peptide therapeutics, membrane biology and molecular biophysics. Outside of the lab, Aurélie loves baking and playing sports such as Ultimate.
