Dr Charlotte Franck

Research Fellow

The University of Sydney

Charlotte is fascinated by bioactive proteins found in the saliva of blood-feeding organisms. In particular, she has been working on immunomodulatory proteins from a variety of tick species. These proteins, called evasins, can bind chemokines and could provide key insights into the development of drugs for inflammatory diseases. When not in the lab, Charlotte loves to work out and play tennis.
