Dr Esteban Suárez-Picado
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
The Australian National University
Esteban Suárez-Picado obtained his PhD in 2019 at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain), working with dynamic helical polymers. During his PhD, he undertook predoctoral work with Prof. Philip Dawson at The Scripps Research Institute (La Jolla, CA, 2014). In 2020, he performed a postdoc at the Institut des Biomolécules Max Mousseron (IBMM) and Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) with Dr. Sébastien Ulrich, working on dynamic self-assembled materials. In 2021, he joined the group of Prof. Elena Pazos at Universidade da Coruña, to engineer smart peptide-based nanostructures. He became part of Prof. Lara Malins' lab at the Australian National University (ANU) in 2023 to unravel electrochemical approaches for site-specific modifications of peptides.
