Dr Yen-Hua Crystal Huang
Research Fellow
The University of Queensland
Yen-Hua Crystal Huang has >10 years of post-PhD experience in synthetic peptide chemistry, analytical chemistry and assay development. Her career focus is on methods for peptide drug optimisation, particularly relating to efficacy towards protein targets, in vivo stability, and cell permeability and penetration. She has made significant contributions to a wide range of research areas, including peptide natural product discovery and applications in agriculture, engineering of antimicrobial and anticancer peptides, investigation of functional and physicochemical properties of toxin- and plant-derived constrained peptides, and characterisation of cell-penetrating peptides. She enjoys singing acapella with collegemates in her leisure time.
