Marcus Strom is one of Australia’s most highly regarded science journalists and communicators. As Morning News Director at the Sydney Morning Herald he managed a newsroom of more than 250 journalists and was a Walkley Award Finalist (2015). In 2017 he was a Eureka Award Finalist for his science journalism. His extensive expertise and networks will be invaluable to the outreach and engagement activities (O&E) of CIPPS, particularly in boosting media training activities and public dissemination of research outputs. AI Strom will sit on the O&E Committee, advise the O&E Officer and work with CIs to prepare press releases, news articles and op-ed articles.
