Prof Jennifer Cochran
Associate Investigator
Stanford University
Prof Cochran’s research group uses interdisciplinary approaches in chemistry, engineering, and biophysics to study complex biological systems and to develop new tools for basic science and biomedical applications. Prof Cochran’s translational interests span protein-based drug discovery and development for applications in oncology and regenerative medicine, and development of new technologies for high- throughput protein analysis and engineering. Her lab is interested in elucidating molecular details of receptor-mediated cell signalling events, at the same time developing protein and peptide-based tools that will allow to manipulate cellular processes on a molecular level. Prof Cochran’s lab combines rational design and combinatorial methods to create designer protein therapeutics and diagnostic agents.
