Prof John Wade
Associate Investigator
The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health
Professor Wade has >35 years’ experience in the fields of peptide synthesis, chemistry, chemical biology, and drug design and development. His primary areas of research have long been in solid-phase peptide synthesis and peptide chemistry development and refinement with application to the preparation and study of complex, multi-cystine peptides such as insulin-like peptides and host-defense peptides leading to their development as new pre-clinical peptidomimetic entities. In addition to his scientific involvement in the Centre through existing and emerging research collaborations with the Chief Investigators and Associate Investigators, Professor Wade will provide expert guidance and mentorship on all aspects of synthetic peptide chemistry and make available his lab’s numerous scientific resources and facilities for use in local projects.
