Sameer is deeply interested in the development and application of selenium-mediated ligation methodology for the chemical synthesis/semi-synthesis of site-specifically modified peptides and proteins for a wide range of therapeutic applications. He has also taken up a leadership role as a senior postdoctoral research associate within the Payne research group, and is heavily involved in mentoring undergraduate and Ph.D. students. Outside the lab, Sameer enjoys reading, travelling, exploring nature and following cricket activities around the world.
